You will descent the Lacantum river on Tandem kayaks (2 people) covering a distance of approximately 26 kilometers.

The descent down the River Lacanja is not white water rafting, it is rather a river that has waterfalls and stretches of flat water (class I).
There is only a part with larger class III falls (maximum 2.50 meters high). This is a very scenic trip during which you should be able to see various forest animals.

Things to bring with you on tour:

The clothes you will wear during kayaking and rafting will get wet, we suggest that you wear light shorts, t-shirt and trainers (a pair you do not really care much about)
Have at least another pair of shoes with you as it might take a while for the trainers to get dry, and maybe a pair if sandals.
For staying at the camp and visiting the archaeological sites bring summer clothes, although its better if you have at least one long sleeve shirt and long trousers which will protect you much better from sun and insects.
Bring also toiletries, towels, hat, sun screen and insect repellent.
You will also need a torch with extra batteries with you to walk around the camp at night (although cabanas, bathrooms and the restaurant are lighted of course) Bed linen are provided and you do not need sleeping bags or camping gear
Do not forget your camera; dry bags are provided during the river trips, so you can take some photos also while rafting!!
