Daily and weekly activities organized by ICC
The following courses are offered by the The Instituto de Comunicacion y Cultura. Established in 1986, is one of the oldest and most experienced language schools in Oaxaca, offering also cultural activities and volunteering experiences in the area.

At the ICC you can take part to the following workshops:

Writing course
The goal of this course is to put into practice the student's creative capacity in writing all kinds of texts: Literary, informative, journalistic, etc

Traditional indigenous weaving (in Spanish only).
A master weaver from San Bartolo, teaches the traditional Oaxacan way to weave (two hours twice a week).

Mexican and Oaxacan cooking (theorical & practical course, English-Spanish)
This workshop is for students that love Mexican food and want to know more about the real Mexican flavor (twice a week).

Tropical dance
A well experienced teacher will motivate you by energizing your body and make you move by the rythm of any kind of tropical music, like salsa, cumbia, merengue etc...

During your stay in Oaxaca you can request to be placed as a volunteer in several different associations, gaining much more from your visit by helping others.
