6 days tour Chihuahua - Copper Canyon and return, with some Kayaking, Cycling and Climbing (Jun-Aug)
The perfect choice for those who want to make the most of their visit to the Barranca del Cobre, experiencing the train trip, some nature exploring and outdoor activities.

This tour combines a visit to Urique and Creel, two of the most popular destinations in the Copper Canyon, and some exciting adventure activities in the Sierra Tarahumara, such as Kayak, Cycling, and Rappel.

You will also visit historical sites and learn about the ancient Raramuri culture, everything in the stunning natural surroundings of the Copper Canyon.

Itinerary:

Day 1: The adventure starts in the city of Chihuahua at 6:00 am, where you will board the train to Bahuichivo. The "Chepe", has been operating in the zone of the Copper Canyon from 1961, with a railway infrastructure considered as a masterpiece of the Mexican engineering. This line counts with 653 kilometers of route, 37 spectacular bridges and 86 impressive tunnels. On the route to Bahuichivo you will appreciate a unique landscape. Transfer to Urique and accommodation in hotel.
Day 2: The day starts with a 10 km trek to the village of Los Alisos. You will cross the Ulrique river and walk through Encino's pine forests. The trek is technically very simple, as there is no big height difference. In Los Alisos, you will have time to explore the surrounding areas, before preparing everything to camp for the night and enjoying a delicious dinner.
Day 3: Return to Urique for some sport activities: you will explore the Canyon mountain biking, and practising some climbing and rappel (ropes climbing). Accommodation in hotel in Urique.
Day 4: You will board the train again to Creel, a beautiful village in the heart of the Copper Canyon, where you will find an exhibit of the Raramuri history and culture, and numerous artesanias shops displaying their hand crafts. You will have time to explore the village and a bit of the surrondings before enjoying a gorgeous dinner. Accommodation in hotel.
Day 5: Some more nature exploring around Creel, with a visit of Cusarare and Rukiraso waterfalls, and the beautiful Arareko lake, where you will enjoy some kayaking. Accommodation back in Creel.
Day 6: Return to the City of Chihuahua, transfer to the airport and departure (if you are leaving Mexico or Chihuahua by air)
