    Centro Cultural de Lenguas (CCL) is a Spanish language school located in the city centre of Morelia, in the state of Michoacan.
    CCL has a variety of Spanish programs to suit your interests and needs. All of them are focused on providing you with a complete immersion in the Mexican Culture and language. By experiencing the country's traditions, its warm hearted people and the natural and architectural beauty of the Michoacan state, you will notice your Spanish and your cultural awareness improving daily.

    Basic, intermediate and advanced Spanish classes are available.
    A student-oriented methodology includes oral and written practice, readings, and audiovisual material, both in the classroom and real-context settings.
    All classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia technology.
    Depending on your interests, you can choose from the following programs:

    SPANISH PLUS ART AND CULTURE
    Daily classes are divided in two sessions of 110 minutes each and focus on applied grammar in a communicative context, intensive oral and written practice, particular Spanish grammar issues, and conversation. In addition, there is an introduction to Mexican culture that include presentations with audiovisual material, related readings and guided tours to the city's museums, historical places and markets.

    PRACTICAL SPANISH
    This program is focused on the usage and application of Spanish within a context of interest to the student, it also creates awareness about the Mexican way of live from a practical point of view. Daily classes are divided in three sessions of 50 minutes each and focus on communicative grammar and guided conversation. You will visit the places where people in Morelia usually meet for shopping, relaxing, learning, etc. understanding and experiencing the local life.

    SPANISH FOR TRAVELLERS
    If you are traveling through Mexico, your classes will be focused on how to communicate in an easy way in different contexts (at the airport, travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, buses, taxis...) Besides, you will learn some practical verbs and general information about Mexico: traditions, history and places of cultural interest. CCL offers assistance to students who wish to do independent traveling, such as information about places to visit, bus schedules, hotels, etc.
    Daily classes are divided in two sessions of 110 minutes each, and the whole program lasts two weeks, but if you have time restrictions, you can design your own schedule and choose the topics you are most interested in.

    STUDENT TAILORED COURSES
    According to your needs and interests you can choose from the following classes and make a combination with any number of hours: grammar, conversation, integrated skills language instruction, Mexican literature, Mexican art, Mexican history and Mexico for travelers.

    One to One Classes
    These classes are studied to get the best out of your program. You will follow your own rhythm and get personalized attention according to your interests. You can start your program whenever you wish.

    Shared Classes
    Shared classes are available for two or more students. Courses start every Monday.

    Any program may last as little as one week or as long as you decide, and you may participate in daily conversation sessions with Mexican students and practice your Spanish, acquiring better fluency and precision in speaking, reading, and writing at no extra charge.

    The school also offers a variety of cultural sessions and activities including lessons of Mexican cooking, crafts, jewerly making, guitar, and traditional Mexican music. Folk or salsa dancing classes are also available (any of these afternoon activities have an extra cost).
    One-day trips and group excursions are available on weekends.

    Volunteering:
    As a student at the CCL you will have the opportunity to do some volunteer work with Patronato MESE, a private charity organization offering Spanish students a part-time working program with socially disadvantaged Mexican children. You can participate by sharing activities, transmitting any kind of knowledge, or simply by listening.

    Volunteer Work Requirements: you can only link to this project if you are a CCL Spanish student and your minimum Spanish level must be High Intermediate. You must be willing to commit for a minimum of four weeks with a part-time schedule of 4 hours and no pay.

    To maximize your learning experience, CCL offers a Homestay Program, which will be an integral part of your language course. Families have been carefully selected and have worked with CCL for many years; they live in clean and well maintained houses with purified water, and the senorasť are excellent cooks (please let us know your food preferences, especially if you have dietetic restrictions or allergies).
    If you do not wish to live with a familiy, alternative accommodation (hostel, hotel or private apartment) can be provided.
