3 days rafting, climbing + Temazcal in Jalcomulco, Veracruz, organized by Xaman
Jalcomulco is a village located in the middle of a lush forest, well known amongst the adventure travelers due to the many outdoor activities offered in its surroundings, like hiking, rappel, climbing, and - most of all – rafting.

In the middle of the village there is a small, comfortable hotel, where you will relax in the evenings after a day of sports and adventures and enjoy the amazing natural environment.
During this trip you will also experience the Temazcal (Mesoamerican steam bath).
This ancient purification rite, guided by a Xaman (witch doctor or guide), was used both for healing and ceremonial purposes. The properties of fire and water were used combined to purify the mind, body, and soul.
The main difference from the modern steam bath, is that in the Temazcal not just water, but an infusion of medical herbs is poured on stones previously heated on the open fire. The steam is directed with some leafy branches by the Xaman, who can perform different practices like massages, hydro and aroma therapy, and meditation exercises.
Adventure activities included in this trip are: 2 river descents, rappel, and Temazcal.
