8 days diving cruise on the Don Jose from La Paz around Baja California
Travel the seas using a spotter plane in search of the magnificent and mysterious whale shark, the largest fish on earth.
Each spring these amazing fish migrate to the Sea of Cortez, teeming with plankton, its primary food source. Feeding at the surface, the whale sharks will give you plenty of opportunities for close encounters even without the need for scuba gear.
To increase the odds of finding them, a spotter plane will be used for a limited time each trip to direct the boat towards the animals as they feed.
The thrills of this expedition do not end with big animal sightings; you will stop at El Bajo, Las Animas, and Los Islotes, dive sites that have earned the Sea of Cortez its world famous reputation for diving excellence.
Your scuba diving adventure is aboard the 80' Don Jose, whose high second and third decks provide spectacular vantage points as you ply the seas in search of whale sharks.
