Villas Delfines   •   Yucatan Peninsula

Palm-roofed and built on stilts Villas Delfines was conceived to integrate itself to the sorrounding environment, by using local materials, eco techniques and alternative energy sources to support its efficient design.

Caught between the blue and the green (a wide beach inviting to long walks in search of shell and luxurious gardens) it offers traditional and romantic facilities with personalized service.

Because Villas Delfines is accessible only by boat, it has an atmosphere of remoteness. However, it is just 10 minutes walking distance from downtown, enabling visitors to experience the villagers easy going lifestyle.

The rooms offer a sense of noble savage lifesyle, perfect for those searching for something private and special, simple comfort with a personalized touch. Fully screened, cosy and charmingly decorated, they have been specially designed to suit the local climate and built on stilts, with native hardwood floors, crossed ventilation and thatched high roofs.

Each room is very spacious and features two double beds and one single bed, private bathroom with unconventional shower device and environment friendly toilet, ceiling fan, and bistro table with complimentary snacks, coffee and tea.

Guests enjoy 24hrs. electricity, warm water (thanks to solar energy) and a large, shared veranda with handmade hammocks.

At the restaurant/bar La Candela breakfast buffets, lunches, tropical cocktails and gourmet dinners are served.
Enjoy the catch of the day with an ocean view, and the Saturdays special moonlight grills!

Among other facilities are a souvenir shop, volleyball court, and safety deposit boxes at reception.

There are just a few of the implemented ideas that gained Villas Delfines public recognition as an ethical and environmentally responsible estabilishment:
-Respect the landscape and design with climate.
-Close relation to traditional architecture of the region, not necessarily imitating, but onvolving extrapolation of basic principles.
