Driving from Cancun's International airport (about 90 minutes north of Tulum):
Take highway 307 south towards Chetumal, drive past Playa del Carmen (about 45 minutes), and keep going until Tulum Ruins (about another 45 min). After the ruin turn left to the stop sign 'Boca-Paila Coba', and keep going for about 2 km until you find the police station. Turn right, drive for 2 more km and you will find the sign for RETIRO MAYA on your left hand side.
