Hemingway is a beach front eco-resort located in Tulum - in a 5 hectares lot between a pristine beach and the tropical jungle. The resort is just 6 km from the centre of Tulum, and about 3km from the entrance of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
The 11 cabanas/bungalows offer either sea or garden view and have their private bathroom, a veranda with hammock and chair, and a living area with typical Mexican decor.
The rooms are simple and cosy, equipped with 1 king + 1 queen bed, or 1 king, or 1 king + single, or 2 double beds, and can accommodate up to 4 people. The cabanas have thatched palm roofs and mosquito nets at the windows and around the beds.
The beach restaurant menu offers lovely sea food and grilled fish, Mexican specialities and Mediterranean dishes, all simply prepared with natural ingredients.
Electricity is available from 6 to 11pm only, in line with the energy-saving eco policy; after then candles are used for illuminating the whole resort, including the beach bar, open from 10pm for your relaxing evenings under the moon.
The resort has changed their children policy for the season 2008/09, and children younger than 10 are no longer allowed.
Safe box is available at reception. No credit card accepted (you can find banks with ATM in Tulum)
