Las Guacamayas is located on the banks of the Lacantum river, in the Montes Azules Biosphere Reserve. You can reach Las Guacamayas from Palenque along the federal highway 199 and then along the border road (Carretera Fronteriza del Sur) till you reach Benemerito de las Americas. Further past this village you will find the connection to Boca Lacantún. From there you will drive another 30km of tarmac road to reach Zamora Pico de Oro and then the last 13km of unpaved road to get to the ecotourist centre (just follow the signs)
