Entre Amigos   •   Northern Mexico

During your visit to the Copper Canyon we suggest you to spend a few night in Urique, a small village of 1600 people located at the bottom of the omonymous canyon. The trek Batopilas-Urique is very popular in the area, and after a hard hike on the mountains some relax in this charming and peaceful village offering a pleasant tropical climate and exotic flora and fauna will certainly regenerate you.

By staying in Urique you will experience an 'Old Mexico' atmosphere, and local people are friendly and talkative, making it a good place to absorb the culture and practice Spanish.

If you are looking for homey accommodation, Entre Amigos is the place for you.
The bedrooms and the guest house are set amongst beautiful surroundings, you will enjoy amazing mountain views from your windows and you will be walking in lush green vegetation the minute you step outside your front door.

The accommodation is cosy and comfortable, but please be aware that these little houses are TRULY ecologically friendly and feature outside composting toilets, one that flushes and 3 dry ones.

If you love bird watching you will have plenty of occasions to observe the unique local species.
Your hosts at Entre Amigos can arrange meals for you, and assist you in organising day hikes, camping, horse riding and fishing trips.
