As you descend to the center of town, you will encounter the central plaza also known as the Jardín, with its sculptured trees, wrought-iron benches and its gazebo.

Along the cobblestone streets surrounding the plaza you will find an abundance of cafes, galleries, and shops now occupying century old buildings. Behind many of the beautiful wooden doors are private houses with large courtyards and ancient architecture. Many of these houses are opened for tours on Sundays.
