Hotel Mansion Iturbe is nestled in front of Vasco de Quiroga Square in the heart of Patzcuaro, one of the most picturesque towns in Mexico.

It was originally the private residence of one of the leading families of Patzcuaro. This 17th century Mansion was the dowry given to Dona Francisca de Iturbe y Anciola (Dona Paca), when she married Don Francisco de Arriaga y Peralta in 1830. Now there descendants have meticulously restored and transformed into a hotel.

This Historical Inn offers you 12 rooms individually decorated with antiques and Purepechan Art. The majority of the rooms have private balcony overlooking Vasco de Quiroga Square one of the nicest in Latin America or the Iturbe Street. Smoking is only allowed in open areas, all rooms are non smoking.

A complete breakfast is included in the room rate served at Dona Paca one of the Hotel Restaurants renown for its regional cuisine and its beautiful view of the Main Square.

The other Restaurant of the Hotel is 'El Viejo Gaucho' with fine music and great drinks and it is open only for dinner. The open air Snack Bar is the perfect spot to have lunch or enjoy the famous cappuccino .

The Hotel also offers a Patio Bar exclusively for guests, where you will be able to make new friends at the complimentary cocktail hour. There is also a solarium and a living room. Spanish lessons are available for small groups.

Patzcuaro is a colonial jewel with its unique architecture and has also become an important handicraft center.

Enjoy the nature at Lake Patzcuaro with its Islands and the world famous butterfly reserve. Not far from Patzcuaro you can also visit the National Park in Uruapan with its hot springs and beautiful waterfalls or visit the Paricutin Volcano. Day trips to the Monarch Butterflies Sanctuaries can be arrange during the migration season.
