Casa del Refugio is located in the busy Plaza Gertrudis Bocanegra - Patzcuaro's second main square - where you can find the town food and handcraft markets, and the beautiful Bocanegra library.

You will be right in the buzz as soon as you step outside, but you will also feel refreshed after a good night sleep, as the hotel is housed in an amazing 18th century building under one of the square portals, with rooms facing a big inner patio, away from the noise of the streets.

The hotel features 13 rooms with 1 or 2 double beds, 6 suites with 2 double beds, and 1 junior suite with king size bed, all decorated in a colonial style and equipped with all comforts, like cable TV, hair dryer and telephone.

The bar and restaurant are comfortable and elegant, and are located in the central patio. They provide a lovely setting to relax during the day and a romantic ambience in the evenings, especially at the light of the big fireplace and of the table lanterns.

You can try the best dishes of the Michoacan cuisine in the restaurant, and enjoy a drink and the live music the bar (every day from 3pm to 11pm).
